Bodleian Libraries – summer catalogue downtime

A message for researchers from the Oxford University Libraries:

In July 2011 the Bodleian Libraries are introducing a new Integrated Library System (ILS) – Aleph from Ex Libris – to replace the current GEAC Advance system. In order to effect the migration of data from the current system to the new ILS, there will be a period of downtime between 8 – 18 July 2011 when the catalogue will not be available for update. Although readers may view the catalogue during this period it will not be possible to place orders for material kept in closed stacks, including the Book Storage Facility at Swindon. Readers planning a visit to the Bodleian Libraries during this period in July are advised to order material in advance.

Please see www.bodleian.ox.ac.uk for further updates and the latest news about transforming our libraries.
